Refund & Cancellation Policy
Effective June 2026. How payments, cancellations, and refunds are handled.
Scope
This policy covers payments made to Construa LLC for construction, project-management, permitting, and consulting services. Browsing this website and requesting a consultation are free; no payment is collected through this website.
Contracts control
Construction services are performed under a signed written contract with a defined scope, schedule of values, and payment terms. If this page and your contract differ, the contract controls.
Deposits under Florida law
Where an initial payment of more than 10 percent is collected for residential work, Florida law (Section 489.126, Florida Statutes) requires the contractor to apply for necessary permits within 30 days after all permit-application requirements are met and to start work within 90 days after permits issue. We honor those timelines, and deposits are refundable as the statute and the contract provide if we fail to perform.
Progress payments
Progress payments correspond to work in place or materials properly stored. Amounts invoiced against completed work are earned and are not refundable. Errors in invoicing are corrected by credit or refund once verified.
Cancellation by the client
You may cancel as your contract provides, by written notice to [email protected]. You remain responsible for work performed, materials ordered or fabricated, restocking charges, and non-recoverable commitments through the date notice is received. Any unearned balance of a deposit is refunded within 30 days of the effective cancellation date.
Special-order materials
Custom or special-order materials are typically non-refundable once ordered from the supplier. Where a supplier accepts a return, any supplier restocking fee is passed through.
How to request a refund
Email [email protected] with your name, project, payment date and amount, and the reason. We respond within 10 business days. Approved refunds are returned to the original payment method.
Disputes
Contact us before initiating a chargeback — most issues are resolved directly. Disputes are governed by Florida law and the venue stated in your contract.
